If you want a good faithful clone as a shooter, my preference would be an EMF or Cimarron Pietta model made within the past few years. The Ruger Vaqueros asththically look like a Colt. is probably the top end clone today, rivaling any of the real 3rd Gen Colts. The Ruger new model Vaquero is also a very good Single Action Army type revolver but not exactly a Colt clone. Its modernized for less expensive production. If you buy a real Colt, dont bother with the Cowboy SAA. Then still keep my eyes open for a good deal on the 'real thing'.
